at my soccer game
Bianca 28/7/16 At my Soccer game
Thump thump thump as my feet hit the ground. After we practiced, the game started so I ran onto the field. Matilda started she passed the ball to Boowy she passed to Swifty and she passed to me and I ran down the field then passed to Brook and she shot for a goal and she got a lucky goal. We heard the whistle scream and my mum said, “half time!”.
We went and sat on the soggy grass and we all ate some oranges ‘‘ eee it's sour ’’ then we all ran back onto the field then Simran passed to Brook and Boowy passed to Swifty and she passed to me and I scored a perfect goal. My dad gave Matilda player of the day and we all left the field.

The Seven Matariki Stars
Once there lived seven young sisters who lied all the time
to the people in the village and said mean things about other people.
One day, they decided to go to a kite festival. They got
their kite ready and went. The challenge was who could
make their kite go the highest.
The smallest sister said her's was going to be the champion.
The second little sister said, "No! Mine is going to be the champion."
The third sister said, "No! I am the coolest so mine is going to be the champion."
"No! I am the coolest. Mine is going to be the champion." "Nice try, girls. I'm going to be the champ."
"Um, no! I am the oldest so I will be the champion."
When they started, the sky rumbled and a piece of lightning struck them and turned them into the seven stars and, now, they are called the seven Matariki stars.

Lost in the Forest
Alice and Ella were sisters. They liked to
explore the forest and follow the flowing rivers. Ella loved the colour red and
Alice loved the colour blue.
One sunny Friday, Alice and Ella decided to go and explore the forest. on the way they found a monkey swing from branch to branch. Then they lost their way back home they looked around but they still could not find the path to the way home. Suddenly they saw the tree with the kite in it and heard their mum and dad calling them when they drank a hot chocolate.

Pet Day at School
WALT make up a story about a Pet Day problem.
WWBSWW:
- Begin with an orientation to tell the reader who, did what, where and when.
“Pet Day will be on Friday,” Miss Anderson, Tom’s teacher, announced to the class on Monday. “Bring your pet to school and tell us about it, then we will have a pet parade.”
Tom was so excited. He would be able to bring Harry to school to
show everyone.
- Write the events leading up to the problem.
At the end of the day, he ran all the way home to get his pet ready for Friday.
He loved Harry and had wanted to show his friends for a long time, but his mum and dad had told him that Harry must never leave the house; but, now, his
teacher had given him permission to bring it to school.
Smilingly, he polished Harry’s green silky skin, talking to it with his friendly voice. “You’re allowed to come to school, Harry. You can meet my friends and my friends can meet you.”
As soon as Friday came around, Harry carefully took Harry out of its cage and placed him into his black backpack. He couldn’t wait to get to school, so he ran
all the way.
When the bell rang, he and the rest of the class stepped into the
classroom.
- Write the problem.
Tom opened his backpack to show his friends what he had brought to school for Pet Day.
“It’s a green, slippery, slimey …...................” he said slowly. “Snake!” he
shouted.
“Tom Denver, give me that thing right now!” Miss Anderson
commanded.
Tom opened his hand to pass it over, but, at that moment, naughty Billy Burton lunged to grab it himself. He bumped Tom’s shoulder and Tom hurtled forward, the snake flying out of his hand to the back of the classroom.
“Eeeeeee! Where is it?” squealed Miss Anderson.
Chaos threatened in Room 4. Children jumped up and ran around, screeching
their lungs out and pushing over chairs and desks, trying to find Tom’s snake.
- Write the events to tell your readers how the problem was solved.
